NORTH SHORE SPORTS ACADEMY OPENS NEW LOCATION IN HIGHLAND PARK

Highland Park, Illinois–

North Shore Baseball Academy is pleased to announce it has opened another new sports academy in Highland Park, re-branding itself as North Shore Sports Academy’s (NSSA) second campus. The new location is at 1660 Old Skokie Road, Highland Park, Illinois, 60035, which is right down the street from the old baseball academy. The completely renovated 11,876 square foot sports facility accommodates teams, private lessons, and group lessons for a variety of sports. NSSA is outfitted with Field Turf, a high-end indoor turf, which is ideal for a variety of sports practices and training.  The Field Turf is thick and is cushioned, which gives it flexible feel. This provides athletes with an ‘outdoor’ feel indoors, which allows them to train and compete harder in a safe environment.  The new academy also features high ceilings, top quality lighting, and flexible batting cages, creating an open and flexible training space for most sports. Currently, we are accommodating athletes in the sports of baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and football, but are always looking to add to the list, as all athletes need a place to work on their craft.

In addition to the turfed space, NSSA Highland Park will feature a weight room similar to that of Vernon Hills. NSSA’s weight room will be open to all athletes. Sports specific trainers will be available to work with athletes to help them condition for their specific sport and/or position, as each sport requires a different type of training. At NSSA, our trainers are the best at what they do and are experts at building a customized training program for the specific needs of every athlete.

The new NSSA location is configured to allow for both open area team practices, as well as individual workouts, due to movable nets and cages within the facility. NSSA is open to any athlete interested in improving their game and in need of an indoor workout facility. Teams and/or individuals interested in practicing, conditioning or taking lessons at NSSA may contact John Stutz or Ryan Whitcomb at: 847.831.3250 or email us at info@playnsba.com

NSSA Highland Park is located on Old Skokie Road, just off U.S. Route 41 S near the Deerfield Road W exit.

Peter Dallas, Stutz’ business partner and co-owner, points out that “a baseball pitcher needs specific conditioning for his body, whereas, a hockey player, will need a completely different hockey training routine. At NSSA, our trainers are the best in their industry and are experts at building a customized training program for a specific athlete’s needs.”
